Dr. Raymond Wright earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago at just 24 years old. He went on to receive his Certificate in Periodontics from the same institution at 26, becoming the youngest doctor in the university’s history to earn that distinction. He then spent nine years as an Assistant Professor in Periodontics at both the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and Meharry School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee, while also contributing to a research study later published in the American Journal of Orthodontics.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Wright has held leadership roles, including Secretary, Vice President, and President of two Chicago dental societies, served as a consultant to Delta Dental Insurance, and received an Outstanding Young Man of the Year Award. He has spent more than 40 years in dentistry. He brings that depth of experience and specialized expertise to every patient he treats at Wright Perio & Implants in San Clemente, California. His focus has always been on delivering minimally invasive periodontal and implant care in a safe, comfortable, and patient-centered environment.
